He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And the heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way He loves us.
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And the heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way He loves us.

that's one of my very favorite songs :)
Hello to you (one of my favorite former student red-heads)...It's funny...the last few days I've been overwhelmed thinking about God's love and how HUGE it is. So huge that we overlook it so often and don't see it. Why is that I wonder? Why do we over look it and how can one being be so entirely lovely? Sigh. His love is an incredible thing. (That song is one of my favorites. It would be safe to say I'm slightly obsessed with it.) Ok. I'm going to bed now. I's gotta be up real real early tomorrow. :)
karisse is slightly obsessed with that song do in large part... to me. ; )
